The long awaited pipes are on (V&H 2-1 Comp series). Whoa are they loud, need to wear earplugs the sound is echoes in my fullface helmet and this is even with the baffles on. The response is awesome, bike really wants to keep going now.
Wake me up if this is a dream...Is it supposed to be this loud? This IS my first HD heard others but never been in the drivers seat with pipes as loud as these...
Sick!! Those are my favorite pipes man.. they look so damn nice. I've heard a couple clips online and they sound awesome from what I can hear. Post up some pics man.
Never heard them up close but they look great. I'm sure they are pretty loud, what else would you expect from a pipe that is named "comp"? You already found out what a difference in performance they make, so that should make you smile. You'll probably get used to the sound, and at cruising speeds most of it is behind you anyway.
Be sure to post up some pics.
Yeah they are loud as hell but they make great power especially on the V-Rod.I got a chance to ride one before and after install and tune.If I was looking for big gains in power that pipe is on a real short list. They got a sound of their own that's for sure and make power down low in the rpm range on the Rod.G.
Adrian I'll definitely put some pics soon...just been having too much fun with the bike...I really love the look and sound of these pipes too and the power it produces is awesome.
have to roll it down the driveway and start it in the street and take off super slow so it don't drive my neighbors too crazy...gotta have some respect for'em.
