26 Motorcycle Pile up on I-5

26 Bikers Go Down
WILSONVILLE, Ore. - More than two dozen motorcycles crashed on a freeway in Oregon on Friday, blocking traffic for hours, police said.
Oregon State Police said the bikers were behind a car when traffic unexpectedly slowed in the northbound lanes on Interstate 5.
The collision sent bikes scattering across the road, near Wilsonville, south of Portland.
Lt. Mike Towner, of Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, said emergency crews arrived at the scene to find “ordered mayhem.”
The Oregonian reported that two bikers with critical injuries were flown to Portland hospitals by helicopter. The newspaper said the incident, which involved 26 bikers, backed up traffic for about 7 miles.
Rescue personnel said seven other people were treated for shoulder and hip injuries and broken bones.
Most of the victims belonged to the Brother Speed motorcycle club, officials said. The Oregonian reported that the group is identified by the state's Department of Justice as an outlaw biker gang.
The freeway reopened about 6 p.m., nearly four hours after the accident.

I have ridden with Brother Speed MC. Every time they ride they earn their title! They ride fast and tight. Good MC started many years ago centered around racing. Better have a fast bike to Prospect with them! I am not, nor never have been a member of Brother Speed MC.

tailgating at 100 mph is not good.We had a squid club around here that did the same thing and slowly but surely alot of them crashed and the club just disappeared.

I wish them a speedy recovery and hope no fatalities result from this mishap but they need to seriously re-evaluate their riding style (i.e. tight formations at high speeds).

Dumbasses. This is what gives bikers a bad name. I've seen this type of group before. They ride at high speed and it looks like a big snake they are so close to each other. I hope they all survive and heal up quickly, but they did this to themselves.
