Harley being fast?
I owned a Vmax for 13 years, sold it to my older brother. I have many other bikes. I currently own a Custom Hayabusa, GSXR1000, Yamaha warrior, Honda Goldwing, Ducati 916, Suzuki Sv1000, Vstrom1000, and older CBX1000, and two old GS1100 Suzukis, that even as old as they are will kick the livin **** out of most everything in the quarter.
Oh wait.... Batman let you ride it once, probably after a heavy round of "WORM GOBBLIN". That explains that gay looking smile on your face.

Why do I ride a Harley?
Fluckstick A - Simply put, there is little to no chance that I would ever have to tolerate such an adolescent arrogant breviloquent on the open road such as you. You speak loudly when you have the safety of the internet to protect you, but when it comes to riding in the presence of riders like us, riders like you have nothing to say. Why is that?
The people of this forum are real, not because they have the fastest, best performing bike out there, but because the have something other than the fastest, best performing bike out there.
You are completely feckless and will never have a clue.
Thanks for playing!
I am seriously going to buy a cruiser bike, and have been lookin for quite awile. I keep my bikes for years and don't buy and sell often.
I can't believe how sensitive the Harley people tend to be on these subjects and I will admit to playing you guys. Its so easy I couldn't resist.
I have done so in public as well, Im not a small guy, and I don't intimidate easily. I just like bikes, and don't get wraped up in the hype of one brand over another. I like anything that is fast and dependable, and just plain fun to ride.
Some of you guys have such complexes as to get super pissed off over comparing your models to comparable imports. WOW how funny. I see this in real life at bars also. I almost got into a fight because I had a Yamaha shirt on!
How weird it is to be so attached to something so lame that you have to put loud pipes on to get looks.
I ride my Busa, dynoed at 186 horse, (slightly modded) and I don't have to rev it or make noise to have a parking lot full of people admiring it. I just park it and walk in the store, come out and there is a half dozen guys lookin at it and asking me questions about it. So what, its all fine, but I didn't buy it for that reason.
When I went to sturgis last year I had the same thing, non-stop people askin me how fast it goes, and wow it is wild lookin etc....
If that really makes you tick, then you better get a Busa, I just enjoy the ride, its amazing.
But cool your jets on your Harleys, I'm just asking why you like them and which ones are worth a damn.
have a parking lot full of people admiring it.
That's because it isn't a Harley. People are offended because of your attitude, because in the end, you came off like---What you ride is chit, so you must also be chit.
Also, as to the foreign parts on a Harley
Everyone in this country, except full-blooded Native Americans, have foreign parts, but like them, my *** was made in America like my bike. Americans aren't the fastest, or the smartest, or the cheapest. They're just the coolest.
As an old Honda commerical said once in one of their ads, "PUT SOMETHING EXCITING BETWEEN YOUR LEGS, RIDE A HONDA"
If you want real class ride a Harley.
PS: you really should pay up the girl scouts, and stop wearing their dresses.
The V-rod performs better than the M109. It has a higher top speed, slightly faster 1/4 mi, and it does it with an engine less than 1200cc's while the M109 has a 1800cc engine. Is it a sport bike? No, and it will never be because it doesn't have the "I want it in the a<censored>" seating position and plastic.
Harley cruisers have 1/4 mi. time comparable to other bikes in their class excluding power cruisers that tend to have huge engines. While 1200 Sportsters are probably class leading with the 1/4 mi. times if you consider them cruisers and compare them to bikes that are close in price, style, and displacement.
All you need to know is this: HARLEYS ARE NOT SLOWER THAN MOST COMPARABLE METRICS. These aren't sport bikes so don't compare them to those. I said "COMPARABLE" metrics so keep that in mind.
To add to that they have better resale, significantly better build quality, stone simple maintenace, etc.
That's all I have to say.
