Don't think for a minutethat Harleys can't be made to go fast. There are more than a few very serious street brawlers out running around. Some approaching 200hp,R&R Cycles in NH is supplying a few of those motors. So beware!

O.k. I couldn't take it any more. I stopped reading after 6 pages, but I had to respond.

Mr Falcon,

You came into aHarley forum under false pretences, started bashing Harleys and then complain because folks responded with some hostility. You had it coming. Motorcycles are not rational purchases. Most of us ride them for fun even if some of us commute to work on them. It doesn't matter whether a bike is fast, slow, red, black, metric or S.A.E. It's a visceral purchase. Either a certain motorcycle sways you or it doesn't. You can justify a Harley or you can justify a metric bike, but the only person you have to convince is yourself. Stop trying toget others to agree with you. It doesn't matter. Ride what you want and let others ride what they want in peace.

This is a Harley forum. You can't come into their house and talk ****. It doesn't work that way. You also can't go to another brand forum and talk **** there either. You'll get the same response.

I happen to ride a metric. So what. The only thing that matters is that I'm respectful of Harleys in this forum. I come here to read the threads about motorcycling and learn about tech stuff for Harleys. You see, I like motorcycles period. There are certain things I like about Harleys and some things I don't like. I can say the same about metric bikes too. I NEVER knock what somebody else chooses to ride. It would be nice if I were always given the same consideration, but that's another topic for another day.

Bottom line: You were way out of line and had it coming. Go buy aM109 and leave this forum alone. All you did was cause a bunch of trouble and reinforced the stereotype thatmetric riders are a bunch of whineyassed Harley wannabes. GO AWAY.

I was married for many years to a woman who hated motorcycles and had to give up my bikes. After the divorce, I bought my first Harley.
Anybody else see that one comin'?
