Default Bought a Fat Boy, need to go Stage 1

Now I need advice on which are the best exhaust, A/C, & fuel mgmt. products to go Stage 1.
I am looking for performance, and a set of nice looking pipes that perform well would make the upgrade even better.
I appreciate hearing about everyone's experience in this area.

05 Fatty here. Screamin Eagle II mufflers, K&N Air Cleaner, PCIII fuel management.
Thumbs up so far.

regardless of what pipes you choose, get your air cleaner and pc from fuel moto.

Which engine do you have? If you just bought your bike, I suppose it's a 2010 with a 96? How do you ride? Do you want lots of low end torque, or are you a upper range, high HP kind of dude? Quiet, loud, or wake up the dead? Bucks down, or money no object? Need a little more info before you get any meaningful advice.

My stage I: SE A/C, Supertrapp SE's (screamin eagle 65115-98), fuelpak, on a 2007 RK police 103. It's the best money I've spent on my bike. If you don't plan on going beyond stage I, there's nothing wrong with the V&H fuelpak. If you ever plan on adding cams, head work, etc, then by all means get a power commander.

I'm an old school hot rodder, and I like to try to keep my costs down. To me, half the fun is putting it together on a tight budget, since that's the way I built my cars for the last 40 years. I bought a lot of my stage I stuff from the classifieds on HDF. The whole setup cost me 320 bucks. My fuelpak came from a HDF member, and it was less than the cost of a stage I download from the dealer. ZERO pinging, popping, or backfires. I think V&H did their homework. I haven't dyno'd the bike, but my seat of the pants dyno says I've got lots of low end grunt, and it seems to pull hard through the bottom and mid range, where I ride.

A good friend rides a carbureated evo springer. It's been well sorted and sounds completely nasty. Yet I can bury him without even breaking a sweat.

I think the first thing you need to figure out is your exhaust. Once you've got that done, everything else will kind of naturally sort itself out. Good luck, and have fun. Stage I can be done fairly inexpensively. Enjoy that while you can. Stage II and everything that follows gets progressively more pricey.

I had an 07 Fatboy with PC-III, K & N Filter, & Rush Mufflers with 2" baffles. Good performance over stock, and good sound.

Almost identical to Hull....07 Fatty w/PC3, K&N High Flow, Caliber 2 into 1. Nice sound, great performance, crappy mileage. But who cares? I ride for fun, NOT to save a few pennies on a gallon of gas.

I run a Arlen Ness Big Sucker with a Joker cover and some Vans and Hines pipes. I used the Scremin Eagle computer upgrade. Sounds good and uncored it some over stock.

But if I want to go fast I take out my Vmax. Don't think the FB is made to be a 140mph launcher. Is sure is fun to ride and looks super cool.

My bike is an 06 Standard with the 88B Motor. I have: Stage One installed-Running a Power Commader III USB-Screaming Eagle Hi-Flo Air Filter-Vance & Hines BSS- and has had three hours on the Dyno....and I must say it gets me up & down the road with ease. She runs strong, has pop when needed and handles 2-up with gear on road trips without a hiccup. The Dyno produced 78.89 HP and 78.98 Torgue. I average 40-45 MPG depending on 2-up, wind... heavy wrist,,,, etc. But 42 is realistic.
So all in all, I'm pleased with my setup.

Looking for the ability to twist the throttle when needed to get away from cagers on cells, and to let everyone know I'm around- so maybe they will look before turning into me.
