Texting and driving
I saw this video posted to another site and thought I'd cross post it here. As bikers we all know the dangers we face by distracted drivers. This video is an excellent reminder of the consequences which can occur when people disregard their responsibility to focus on the task of driving. This tragic case cost 2 people their lives and likely ruined the life of another.

I, probably like most of you, don't understand this but I am an old fart. If someone was to light up a cigarette within a mile of some people's kids, the fight would be on...however, these same mommies will not hesitate to start using that cell phone with the little kiddies in the vechile with them

Local radio station just polled people about texting and driving. About 10 people called in and said they were addicted to texting and did it while driving as well. Then they were asked if it should be illegal to text while driving. Every one of them said YES! They know it is wrong and dangerous yet they continue to do it! You can't fix STUPID!!! JMO

Last month I was driving down one of our busy streets and saw a girl on a scooter with shorts and small shirt with no helmet on texting while going down the street.......I tried to catch up to her but she was going much faster than I was. Thought for sure I'd see her laid out on the road. Cannot believe how stupid people can be.
