Default Thinking about a 2nd bike

and I'm looking for opinions.

I have a RKC which is now outfitted with a DeadCenter Fairing. As it is, most of my riding has been touring, so I imagine I'll keep the fairing on it most of the time.

While I LOVE my bike, I am obsessed with the idea of getting a 2nd one (pre-owned), for the short jaunts around town as there are days I just want to "hop on" and cruise around. The RKC is pretty "big" & heavy for that, especially now that I have the fairing.

I do not want a Sporty...granted, I've never ridden one. I've been drawn to the Fat Bob, probably because of the wider front wheel. I test rode one and liked it. Haven't tried a Dyna (I know the FB is in the Dyna Family), but my brother suggested I try one. Fatboy? love them...but is it too similar to what I already have?

I'm up for suggestions, pros and cons, etc. Those of you that DO have 2nd bikes, do you ride them enough to justify the cost? Or do you find you gravitate to one over the other?

Guess it's like having a 2nd kid...you wonder if you can love it as much as the one you already have!

The more motorcycles the merrier.................at least until it comes time for stuff like tires, and brakes, and oil changes and..well you get the idea. I have 5 that I own and I ride one at work so maybe I am not the one to try and give objective advice.

PS, I really dig the Fatbob as well.

Maybe it's the time of year or something, but I have been thinking about a 2nd bike too. But I was thinking of one to fill my need for a bit more get up and go vs cruising. Been looking at the V-Max. But then again, I know a guy selling his 2005 Ducati ST4s. That looks fun too. I need a bigger garage....and a fatter wallet.

I think it's safe to say, you're hooked! Sounds like a 12 step program may be in order!

The last time the demo fleet was here, I tried the Cross Bones and really enjoyed it. It was everything my EG wasn't. I have been thinking seriously about adding it for the express purpose of short runs.

I've been thinking about a 2nd bike too. Wish I had the cash right now to pick this one up.

Been saving for a second bike for a year now. I am going the other way though. I have a fatboy and plan on buying an e glide classic. next on my list is a springer. I have the bug for sure. Would much rather ride bikes than drive a car.

You should look at the Cross Bones. Thinking about adding one eventually and making it my 3rd bike. My Road King feels small compared to my Ultra and it's what I generally use around town.
