Cool need help ... bike for short wife ...

Hey guys. My wife is pretty small, 5 feet nothing. She is currently riding a 2006 sportster 1200C with a Nightster seat. I've also put on a lowering kit so her feet are flat on the ground when stopped. The Nightster seat was the last piece of this puzzle to get her feet flat on the ground, but it's darn hard (yes, the seat). Should I get her to a different bike or what???

thanks!

Has she tried the Softail Deluxe? It is pretty low and has a big twin motor.

Sit her on the different softtails. ST's have the lowest seating position and can be adapted even lower. Don't be intimidated by the fact it's a big twin- they balance as easy as any sporty.

I'd keep her on the Sportster and do a MCC seat job unless she really needs more power. Lighter, more maneuverable and probably better gas mileage. Easier to paint it a cool girl color. Oh yeah, a lot smaller investment.

You can try smaller profile tires.
And, believe it or not, have thicker soles put on her riding boots. Try putting different thicknesses of board under each foot while she sits on the bike. When she sits comfy, you'll know just how much thicker her soles need to be (of course, there might be a limit as to just how thick she wants those soles to be - until platform shoes come back in to fashion, that is...)
roll on

If she likes the bike except the seat look for a custom seat/upholstery shop (way cheaper than a new bike). Had one done for the wife's sporty. Take the original seat and they will shape and pad it to her liking. Then have the present seat as alternative, like when you want to ride it as the custom seat probably will not be a goods fit for you.

i have a friend who has a roadglide and he's 5'4" or so. just so happens i went to the local topless bar a half mile from my house, and the girls were all wearing platform type hi heel shoes. now here's the funny part, i suggested to my friend who has the roadglide and is vertically challenged that he might wanna consider platform shoes. i'm a foot taller than him so for me, i can get along with regular boots. the deluxe and heritage softail come to mind if she's looking for something in the way of a big twin.
