Default Recycling engine parts?

I salvaged some engine parts out of my '91 FXRP after my accident before I allowed the insurance co. to take it away. The parts are as follows, EV 27 cam, andrews adjustable rods, lifter blocks and hydraulic lifters all with 2,000 miles. I would like to know if I could expect any problems if I were to install these into my '98 FXDS. I checked the fitment through some catalogs and found they will fit but I need to know if there any implications as to installing used engine parts from one bike to another.

A visual inspection of the parts, looking for obvious signs of wear, wouldn't be a bad thing but with only 2,000 miles on them, I would think you should be able to install them without any issues. I wouldn't use the lifter blocks though, I would keep the ones that came on the bike unless they are chromed or something.

The parts are in pristine condition, But I'm concerned if I would have any mating issues from one engine to another?

The chrome blocks I've got with the other parts aren't a concern as this bike has chrome blocks already (factory original). Why wouldn't you recommend using the lifter blocks?

Thanks for the reply springer, I posted this in the engine/fuel/intake/exhaust section Friday morning and I have yet to recieve a reply.

No reason other than they are older. If they had less miles or the newer ones were worn, then I would use them. I was assuming the older ones have more miles on them, at that point it would just be a cosmetic issue.

The lifter blocks I salvaged with the rest of the cam installation parts have 2,000 miles, the engine this is all going into is currently at 14,000 miles. I guess I should have stated the mileage on the recipient bike.
