Must be a scam

I emailed him and told him I'll take 2 because i thought he screwed the asking price up.
This is the email he sent me:
Hi,
I am selling this bike because my platoon has been sent back to Afganistan and don't want it get old in my backyard. The price is low because I need to sell it before November 12. It has no damage, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects. It is in immaculate condition, meticulously maintained and hasn't been involved in any accident..I do have the title , clear, under my name.The bike has 1500 original miles.
It is still available for sale if interested, price as stated in the ad $4,000 . The bike is in Billings , MT , in case it gets sold I will take care of shipping. Let me know if you are interested, email back.

No way a young enlisted troop has clear title to a $35000 bike and will now sell it for $4K. Gotta be a scam or stolen. I'd call the base military police. Also, if he was going there, he'd know how to spell Afghanistan.

I've learned that if it seems too good be to true that's probably the case.
Could be legit though if he's looking to get ride of it before he leaves for tour.
If it's not too far away take a drive and check it out.

Yeah, sumthin don't smell right. I would email him back and tell him you will take it, sight unseen, and see what he says about payment. I betcha dollars to donuts he'll then provide some wire instructions or something. The money will ultimately be heading to Nigeria, I imagine.
