Interestingly the local dealer who only had two flht's left 3 weeks ago at 16,500 and 17,000. still has only two left "ummm but they don't look like the last two??" and both are now at 15,700. 15,395 is msrp. This dealer is known to be high priced. (all the dealers in my area seem to be high priced) I'm thinking i might go lay 15k on the sales managers desk and tell him i'll trade the cash for the black one. I would suspect he will balk. If he doesn't want to come down from the 15.7 or below msrp. What are some sweetners and their value, you could thro in the pot. For instance ... can't let it go for less than 15.7, Ok 15.7 but you gotta throw in 1000 mile service, or cruise control at $300, or ..... What would you hit them up for.
While i'm at it what is the lowest you would seriously try to hit them up for an 06 flht. Keep in mind i'm in NH and prices in this area seem high. I called all the dealers in state and all where at 16 500 two weeks ago. Even the bigger dealers in mass where high. I'll do another call around tomorrow to check again tho. No $1000 below msrp going on around here.
Good luck... Most of the dealers sell out of all the Harley's that they're able to get, so many don't need to come down in price, or deal.... If you're looking to bargin, try a used tent sale if your local dealer does any.... That's a great way to pick up a good bike for a great price.
Might work...my dealer would probably do it $700 is not that big a deal to them....but each dealer is different...Hubby wanted Screaming eagle and they had a 5k mark up. Hubby refused to pay it and they didn't even flinch.
If you don`t buy it at there price , there going to get it from the next person so its up to you on how badly you want it ! Hey they might throw in a T- shirt [sm=happy046.gif]
Lots of ideas here, but, no one mentioned the 07's are coming out real soon and the dealer alotment is based on the # of 06's sold by the end of July.Try you cash on the table on the last week of July. I bet they'll deal then!

I really agree with the 07's are coming comment. The folks at my dealer say business is slow.
Bikes that they had over MSRP (annv addition Dyna) are now being offered at less than MSRP.
They have a floor full of bikes. I think folks are waiting 07's with all the talk of improvements and dealers are sucking some wind. I think now is the time to dicker maybe more than in the past.
Vreeland Harley Davidson, Bloomsburg, Pa. Sells at list and they advertised $1,000 worth of free accessories with all FL series bikes. They also provide 2 hrs of shop service towards parts installation at time of purchase.
