Do yourself a favor and set down and read your owners manual before your kill yourself or your bike. I am sure you spent some coin on it so at least take the time to learn how to take care of it or keep forking out the cash and take it back to the dealer for every little f'in thing.

lesson 1. don't post while overtired.
lesson 2. read the repair manual under my bike.
lesson 3. read 1 and 2.

and I probably deserved some of the criticism...

Have to say, checking the oil while straddling the bike is one thing I've never tried. Seems one would have to be an Orangutan.

Have to check my manual, maybe I read it wrong.

Bubbles??? These new bikes make everything so complicated. I use the Shovelhead method:
1) Park bike.
2) If no spots appear underneath it, tank is empty.

If there were bubbles, maybe your bike is wet-farting.
