I'll bet the first time your tires started to slide on some you would have remembered it.

Glad you and the bike will heal, just remember it so you never repeat it.

Haven't even managed a close call on my Harley yet. Other than my crash, the only time I recall dropping any of my street bikes, not even doing the MSF courses.

I did lose traction in the rain coming home a few weeks ago. I had a split second of "Oops, too heavy on the throttle - no traction", then I jammed on it, got sideways and rode it out. Had a good time for a few seconds.

Glad you survived. Pain pills will help. Your leg will heal & you'll be back in the saddle soon. You've earned your broken wing patch.

Light turned amber, instead of continuing through intersection decided to brake hard and stop so I could talk to my buddies behind me.

Those wide painted lines marking crosswalks are some slippery in the rain. I got to to to my buddies all right but I was looking up at them from the pavement.

Glad your okay but Man that EGO heals slow

Well it could have been worse..
You could of had your wife on the back at a major intercection in the middle of rush hour and made a turn just when gravity kicked in and you your wife and bike are laying on the ground.
Its amazing how fast you can pick up a 650lb bike when your adrenaline is pumping. Not that I know.
