Tryin to get some advice on these covers. In particular the covers for the cluth and brake on the handlebars. My thinking is that it would collect dirt and moisture underneath them. R they sealed ?
I know I should get solid chrome but right now my beauty is costing me enuf until I can save some more pennies.
Waiting patiently (not really) on my 2010 heritage classic in white ice and black ice, due in Feb.
Thanks
ummm...they are chrome and they bolt on. It would be really neat if you could unbolt them and clean them.
Can't get much dirtier than the under side of your engine.

Takes that long to order a bike? My luck I'd probably decide in the meantime that I didn't really like the color or would want a different model.
Don't know if this is your first bike or not but FWIW I'd ride it for a bit before deciding what sort of mods you "needed" and start with the ones dealing with fit and comfort.
I sort of look at the covers as being phoney and I put off getting the "real" $$$ set long enough to realize it wouldn't make the bike run any better or fetch me any more on resale. And it's not something you can just unbolt and sell on ebay like most other add ons.
The Heritage is a great bike. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

Why do you consider adding chrome on your bike? If it's to look nice and no other reason, why not use chrome covers vs replacing the whole shebang with chrome ones? One costs 5 times less than the other. Can you tell the difference between the 2? Personally, I don't see any difference but I'm not sticking my nose 1" away from them either.
My opinion only.
