It wont let me post the other pic in reply so I will post it here. This pic was taken after I replaced the handlebars, instruments, front sprocket and polished it up a bit.
I'm just sittin' here diggin' lookin' at the pic. Someone put a few bucks into the bike. The oil tank is unusual. Know who made it? And that King Kong kicker lever is a monster! Plus adding the electric foot ain't cheap. Does it have the XLH battery box on the left side, or is the battery in the oil tank? Looks like a Lockhart oil cooler, too. And the pipes look like some of the better quality drags - notice the rounded curves of the bends? Cheaper pipes had sharper bends, almost angular.
Nice.

Skip
Wow, that is some bad looking' Sporty. I'm getting envious. It has many external performance mods as pococj has said. So, what has been done internally?
Looks great, that bike is definitely up Skip's alley, though it might have a little too much chrome on it for him. I like it though. Do you take it on trips or mostly 'round town? I rode my first sporty a few weeks ago, and developed a whole new respect for those that ride them...particularly those older than '04. They'll buzz your body parts sound asleep. Shoot, I walked in cirlces for 5 minutes at Hooters when we go there 'cause my left foot was asleep!
I took it on its first cross-country test ride up to Gainsville and just got back. The new front sprocket I put in last week allows me to cruise at 70mph at only 3500 PRM. I missed my fuel economy goal by .7 mpg achieving a top fuel economy of 59.3 MPG during the trip and topped it out at 90mph. I did not risk going faster even though the bike felt like it wanted to because the Highway patrol was out in force LOL. Hopefully I will break the 60mpg barrier next trip. In reply to Skip, yes, it has the bigger battery and is located in the oil tank.
I have several custom crome parts comming in tomorrow as well as a 5 gallon tank mod I will have done. The 2 gallon tank I have now does not go very far LOL. In addition, I am putting on a highway, and sissy bar. When I am done with all the mods, I hope to have a great highway bike that is a good alternative to driving my fuel guzzleing Firebird Formula.
