Rumor was that for years the MoCo was pressuring Mills to build a larger modern dealership at it's site in Burlington but the city wouldn't allow it.
If there was indeed a merger here as the letter suggests, I'm thinking it was to finance the new building in Mt Holly. Maybe it will be partly owned by Hannums but still be operated by the Mills family and under the Mills banner. Seems like a win win for everyone involved including local bikers.
Mills and Hannums are not merging to my understanding..A inside family member of Mills said there is no merger and Mills is supposed to be bought out by Hannums very soon..
I also saw in a post that someone said they had heard that it was because of Harley...Well again..... a Mills inside source said it was because, of other reasons...and, let's put it this way from what was said it has to do with $$$$ and shadyness!!
I partically do not care for some of the Mills owners..I have delt with a few of them but, one of them stuck in my mind she came across very snotty and rude as, if I should bow down to her for being in her presence..
I have not shopped there since and took my business else where...
If that's the case Princess, wonder what the origin of that bs letter was.
Every dealer has it's loyal followers and Mills was no exception. I just never got hooked up there. Although it's a good ride for me and I have to pay a bridge toll, Brian's in PA gets most of my Harley money.
But I'm looking forward to seeing what Hannums has to offer when it opens in Mt Holly.
I just had a great experience up at Hannums Chadds location. Dealt with the manager Anthony and salesman Dell. Great DUDES! I had a set price, they knew I wanted to purchase a bike that day and they put me on my dream machine even after a fiasco with the media location miscommunicating a bike being in stock when it was actually on consignment and they owner had picked it up. drove up in the first snow storm two weekends ago with cars wrecking to look at the consignment bike. was not a happy camper. BUT Anthony and Dell made me a killer deal on my deuce and i couldn't be happier.
I have seen a Hannums HD marked trailer in front of a new motorcycle shop in Mt Holly on Rt 541 by Woodlane Rd. Sign out front says Burlington County Cycles but no Harley signs other than the trailer.
Hannum's was the **** back in the day when I was a kid.
Also, don't forget the Indian dealer that was located on E. Gay st in West Chester about '99-'00. I remember it right after I got out of USMC. Didn't last long.

IMHO, Barb's Harley Davidson in West Collingswood, NJ is the BEST around. I have bought 2 bikes from Mills years ago and after the sale they act like they don't know you. Barb's will not only work with you to get the bike you want, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome anytime I go there for parts or service, I have bought 2 bikes from Barb's and will go no place else for anything I need for my scoot.
They have a great inventory of bikes and parts and will get anything not in stock in less than a week.
My buddy from South Phila...loves barbs...I never had luck in the purchase area but now that Mills is changing, I'll give that shop a shot again.....well, if Mills goes for the worse that is
