I'm again concidering a Stage 1 upgrade for my Winter mod. I currently have a stock TC-88 with 2" Rush Slip-ons. I'd like a bit more umph in torque and an improvement in passing power when I'm finished. I tend to ride conseratively most of the time, running my RPMs between 2,300 and 3,300 depending on my road speed. I ride two up often so the extra power would be useful due to the weight I often haul around. Has anyone made the stage one upgrade and ended up not happy with the result?

Reason: Error in the RPMs...damn comma!!
I have never heard of anyone who wished they hadn't done a stage one, but you have to do it right. Get a good air intake system, fuel management needs to be done right also...there are several ways to approach this, I went with a V+H FuelPak it works great (but I lost about five mpg). I don't believe that the dealer stage one download is worth much.
I run an 88 EGC with an 80 ci evo. at 2300 rpm Im just beginning to develope power. Any lower & I have to down shift. I am going to upgrade my carb, breather & exhaust this winter to help with bottom end torque but I think that 2300 is right in the basement for rpm range.

If I had to do it over again I'd go straight to the stage 2 ....do yourself a favour....go to the stage 2..the stage 1 was basically a joke. JMO

Just did the Stage 1 on my 09 Road Glide last week..... Got everything from Fuel Moto.... couldn't be happier. Best money I've spent on my bike yet. Again, I heard the SE racing tuner from HD isn't very good.... I'd go with (fuelmoto) PCV or Vance & Hines Fuel Pac
