67 here and looking forward to lots more years on two wheels.

My bike journey has a large gap in it: started on the dirt in the early 70s enduro riding (Yamaha, CanAm), after a while and some injuries, moved to the street (KZ400, KZ650). Sold the 650 in the early 80s to buy a lawn tractor..enough said?

Got back on a few years ago - Sporty, Heritage and how RK....lovin it. : )

I'm 72 years young. First harley was 1971 Sportster because I love the TV series Then Came Bronson starring Michael Parks. It pretty much says it all for me. I now ride 2014 Dyna Wide Glide. It still has the nostalgic Harley look and feel. I also ride off-road in the California desert on my Husqvarna. Live to ride. Ride to live.
I bought my first motorcycle in '64, a used '61 XLH. "Then Came Bronson" the movie was to me, about MY sporty (and Bonnie Bedelia). While I ride a Road King for most riding, years ago I built a time machine sporty, a '96 XL883 Bronson tribute that I use today for the sheer fun of riding. But at 68+, I know that my days with the Road King could end in a few years. I have survived severe illness, bad knees, and terrible whisky, not to mention bad women. I'd like to ride to 75 or more, but when I no longer feel safe on the King, I'll ride my XL883 Bronson Tribute until they take it from my cold dead hands (or I am in a senior home babbling about lost loves or some other such foolish nonsense). I had a '72 XLCH, but sold it as I could no longer safely kickstart it with my bad knee. I love the rigid evo. It is a great motorcycle. My Bronson tribute sporty is my time machine to my youth and to my future riding when the King gets too heavy.

I'll be 60 in a couple years. Been riding baggers for +20 years. I do tour more than most people, so comfort has always been a priority.

Hell, I didn't start riding until I was 57. Now 62. Bought my FLSTF new in 2011, haven't been more than 100 miles from home (yet), but have still managed 35K miles. I know, nothing compared to a lot of you, but my ride seldom sits in the garage unless there's ice or snow or a too cold rain. Or, as recently, when I got a new right knee. That was 4 weeks ago yesterday, and I've ridden several times during this 4 weeks.

Will turn 69 in another month and just a few weeks ago bought a 1200L red sporty that I've wanted since I too watched Jim Bronson pack his bedroll on the back of his model k and head out across the country in TV's "Then Came Bronson" (1960's ish). Over the years I've ridden most everything from 50 to 1400cc's at one time or another and sold the last one a couple years ago. Thought I was probably done riding, but realized that just wasn't so. Don't do any long road trips anymore due to a spinal fusion a few years ago so the sporty will work for me as long as I feel the need to ride. Oh, and that damned fusion cut my sex down to about 3 or 4 times a night too.

BTW ..... anybody know the meaning of the 'eye' in the triangle on the tank side on the 'Bronson' tribute bike in msg #472?

Regards y'all, Joe.
