They just don't LOOK uncomfortable, they ARE uncomfortable! The seat on the Fireblade is a taint-buster, and fuggedabouddit after maybe an hour, hour and a half....but WHAT an hour! An entirely different riding experience! A new gel seat, with a groove for the "taint" (yes there IS such a thing!) will help, for sure, and is on the shopping list. I'm scheduled for the "Ride Like a Champion" course at the NJ Motorsports Park this spring and hope to learn how to get the most out of sportbikes, and LEGALLY go a buck fifty on track day.

Meanwhile, I love tooling around on my nice comfy Heritage(s)

There are racing bicycle saddles with built-in grooves for the 'taint, so I assume they also exist for motorcycles. I've never seen one, though.

Great for you.... IMO... it's all and only about What's bike fits your needs...

you love yours and I love ours...

for me it was a Heritage... and after 8yrs the wife and I still love it...

it's great for our 90% two up riding and also great for my 1-2 trips a yr with my son that's 6-7 days that's usually around 1800 miles long...

Its also a great bike for those 2-3-4 hr daily rides....

IMHO--- I know the Heritage is the best bike that MoCo makes for our needs.

I turned 66 last month, I ride a 2014 FLHXS It's almost as comfortable as my old 1983 FLH. On the SG I have ridden from my home in Louisiana to Daytona, and back, Then mid summer up to Northern Illinois and back to Louisiana. I think the Corbin seat I added made the ride more comfortable than had I had a stock seat. Still do about 500 miles a day like when I was younger. This beats seeing in a cockpit for 4-5 hours at a time like I did prior to hanging up my wings.

Yes. I am a fit 61 and do not want a bagger, though I have nothing against 'em. I do like my backrest Ultimate seat for lumbar support. Fatboys rule!

72 here. Ride a 2011 FXDWG. I've ridden metrics in the past and did a lot of motocross in my younger years. My Wide Glide is my favorite. Put a tour pack on for long riding with the GF. Makes packing a little easier.
