I've had both, and they're both awesome bikes. The Fat Bob handles and stops a little better than the Wide Glide, but there's not all that much difference...

63 here, been riding a bagger since '04. Maybe when I get old I might decide to downsize to something smaller. On a side note, going to retire next summer and looking forward to being able to spend a heck of a lot more time riding.

I turn 50 next year, so I am still a ways off before I hit official senior status. I plan on riding my Low Rider for 4-5 years and I will replace it with another LR.

I will not be getting a bagger. I do not tour and see no need for one.

60 years currently.
Heard all the "Old Man's Bike" comments from my riding buddies when I bought a FLHTCUI bagger in '98.
I still have, and ride the '76 FLH that apparently didn't qualify when I was riding with them before.

Guess what ALL of my buddies are riding NOW?

Thinking about a Touring model next, perhaps a Road Glide? Though this years Yamaha R1 is simply awesome!

So jealous yet want to stay out of jail and the revenuers are out in full force trying to pad the city, county and state coffers. I have owned R1's, VTR1000's, Ducati 748's and some other sport bikes. They are light and very easy to balance. The only reservation I have about owning one at 66 is that my wife will have to come bail me out when they bust me doing a buck fifty. I mean jeez, you can hit a hundred in 3rd gear without breaking a sweat and they are like riding rails on sweepers at 130. It took a long time before I fully understood the adage, "It is much more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow". We used to spend the whole morning with about 6 riders, riding in "formation" between a buck and a buck and a half. Did it for a couple of years until I realized that hitting someone would instantly turn me into a felon. My buddies asked me what the point was when I pointed that out so for the first time in my life, I acted like a grown up and moved on to cruisers. However, still miss acting like a teenager with raging hormones<g>.

Spent some time on a Ninja 1000 last year, on some nice twisty roads.

I'd end up in prison. Srsly.

I spent 25 years riding sports bikes and enjoyed them very much. Was well north of 100 MPH thousands of times. I am now riding a 2015 Low Rider. Done the sports bike thing and now I very much enjoy my first HD. Will be riding Low Riders until I hang it up.

1991 Honda CBR 600 F2 (1991-93)
1992 Honda CBR 900 RR (1994-95)
1997 Honda CBR 1100 XX (1998-2002)
2003 Kawasaki ZZR 1200 (2006-2011)
2011 Suzuki GSXR 600 (2012-2015)

I pulled up to a real gasoline pump today right next to a young dude on a metric crotch rocket. That thing looked damn uncomfortable to me and I've owned and ridden metric but they were more traditional looking.

Just turned 60 so I guess I'm an old geezer but I like my Low Rider.

will be 61 in Deember and ride my slim and love old school bikes. All my friends have baggers and shake their heads at me about not having a old man bike.

As you can see by my signature my other bike is a 650 bobber and I rode it to Sturgis 5 years ago round trip 1200 miles
