Interesting thread and I'll play. 65 yrs old. Ride a 2014 Low Rider. Perfect bike for what I do which is run around town and short day trips. Way back when the speed limit was 55 mph, anyone remember those days, I toured on a Honda ST1100. That thing didn't hit it's stride until 80. Good thing I had a radar detector. I admire the new Road Glide but that's not what I do anymore and after having cancer twice in the past 6 years not sure I have the strength for 800+ pound bike for around town.
I'll be 67 in December, and my regular riding buddy is 78. I put 14,000 miles on my Super Glide Custom in less than two years. I was taking longer rides, and riding more often, and starting to take multi-day overnight rides, so I decided to move up to a Touring bike. Honestly, if it looked good without the bags I'd take them off.
I'm as fit as I've ever been, and I intend to ride for a long, long time.

You're my idol. I'm right there, and trying to decide between either a new Wide Glide or Fat Bob.
I'm 66 and been riding since 1964 (off and on) and picked up an '02 FXD a year ago. My previous bike was an '82 FLH with bags and I loved having space to carry stuff so I had bags included in the deal for the FXD. I keep my rain suit and a few other things in one bag and stuff my purse in the other.
I was a competitive figure skater up until 2 years ago and quite because I was having problems with my knees and hip and was a bit concerned about handling the weight of a Dyna. I also have a large dog that loves to go anywhere with me so I put a Velorex sidecar on the bike. No more strain on my hip or my knees and I have more storage space than most small cars! (Not to mention that slippery roads or gravel roads are not nearly as big a problem.)
