53 now and retired last year. I have a 2008 Road Glide for my cross country trips where I need extra supplies/clothes/tools etc. I have a1996 Nostalgia for around town and shorter trips. I have had baggers of some sort for the past 10 years but will always have my bar hopper.

FXDXTSport- I'm 62 on a Dyna and would need only a cruise control to be complete. Have you found an adequate one yet?

in 1965 I bought a 1960 Sportster XLH and it came factory with Hardbags!! and I have had bags on every one of the 9 Harleys I have had since then. had to mount some soft bags the 2nd yr on the Superglide but it got bags. Got an EG back in 89 and have rode the big boys every since.
hell when I roll out of the drive I dont know when Im comeing back, never did. I rolled out one morning back in 1978 for a couple hour ride and came back 17 months later. just felt like hittin the road. took off for a month or so a couple dozen times and losein a week on the Harley was just needed something to do. so I always wanted my leathers and a helmet and some tools with me. And bags just hold alot of crap nice and tucked away like it should be.
But at 65 and havein had both legs crushed I have been thinking more an more about downsizein to the fatboy or Heritage again. but when you ride 20K or more a yr yur ridein in the cold tooand that fairing and lowers on the Ultra are really nice even with heated gear.
I truely have been blessed with many great years of ridein and smaller may win out in the next couple yrs. but I will always have a bagger as long as there is an open road somewhere to roll me away on.

I'll be 62 next month. I put 45K on my 2003 V-rod and just traded it last June on a 2010 Heritage Classic. Bought this mostly for my wife's comfort or thought it is a lot easier on the back side. I run more without the bags than with.

I'm 69, going on 70. My riding buddy is 73.

I rode my first motorcycle in 1962. Since then I've been without a motorcycle just twice, the first time one year while I learned to fly, and the second time for seven years after totalling my bike. I got back on when I was 61, and have logged over 140,000 miles since then.

Age has little to do with it. It is more about physical condition. I have known guys over 80 still riding/flying. I hope to keep riding for lot longer. I have two road trips planned for this year.

I'll be 56 next month. Still not ready for garbarge barge. I don't want/need a radio or CD player etc. I'll check in again in a few years. Things change.

When I was 64 I rode a 2006 V-Rod Screaming Eagle. When I turned 65 I traded it in on a 2009 Ultra. Okay, okay, the little woman said the V-Rod pillion was not unlike a leather covered razor blade.
