64 and started riding a 1200 Sportster when I was 60. I put 10,000 miles on the first year, 12,000 the second then bought a '07 Road King. Awesome bike!
I take off each summer for a month with my bike and tent. I will slow down at some point but it will happen when it does. Until then...
Realize this thread was started in 2009 but the subject is timeless like us old riders.
I'm 72 years young. First harley was 1971 Sportster because I love the TV series Then Came Bronson starring Michael Parks. It pretty much says it all for me.
I now ride 2014 Dyna Wide Glide. It still has the nostalgic Harley look and feel. I also ride off-road in the California desert on my Husqvarna. Live to ride. Ride to live.

Started riding in 1971 on a Jawa CZ 250. Have had any number of Honda 750/4's 550/4's, a 500/4, a CB350 and presently a Goldwing, three 650 Triumph Bonneville's (one at the moment), a BMW 1150RT, a Suzuki DRZ400, and five Harley's: An ex Police 1972 FLH, a 1979 80" Low Rider, a 2003 Low Rider, a 2010 Softail and my current 2015 Ultra Limited. Loved them all . . . well . . . maybe not the CZ so much . . . LOL. Will turn 62 this year. Still put more miles on my bike(s) in a year than I do on my car. I guess I put a bit over 20,000 on the bikes in 2015. Not as much as some. Still look for excuses to go for a ride or to walk out into the garage for a moment or two.
Greeting from the newest "old guy". I'm 55 today! I hope I get to ride for a lot more years like some of you have.
Ride On!
Happy Birthday and congrats! Unfortunately many of us don't get to make it this far. I sure am happy that I did, I joined the old farts club 4 months ago when I turned 55.
I'm 63 and not quite ready to join the 'Old Farts Club' yet, but I guess that's one of those clubs that you don't get a choice about joining or not. Anyway, my main ride is still my first Harley, which I bought in 1975 - '59 FL Duo-Glide. It was in a straight leg rigid w/8" over tubes, sportster tank and a very thin contour seat. Little by little it's morphed back to a little more of its original style.
No need for electric starters yet!!
