until I ran the vin on Google and the same ad came up in 8 states.

The original ad also came up that it was highjacked from. I flagged it for removal. I don't see these ads too much anymore. Used to be quite common.

These types of ads have dropped off for motorcycles, now they have jumped over to RV's. If a deal looks out of sight, just do google search like you did and the same photos and ad will show up in 5-10 major cities.

Notice the reply does not have my name on it? That's because it's computer generated. I just checked Ebay. There is no ad. My original email was, "Where is the bike located?" If I respond to this email saying I'm interested I will probably get a real person reply. If I again ask where is the bike located, I'll get an answer that it's located far from my location for any reason but send him or her money and the funds will be put in escrow until I receive the bike. Escrow account is as phony as the ad.
