one of the ladies in our group rides an 883 sportster she got for her 49th B-day,and is having a problem with her kickstand, when she sits on the bike and stands it up the kickstand goes up on its own and creates a loud bang against the frame, she thinks her kickstand is to short, any suggestions
Can I make a suggestion? Amy's sportster was doing the exact same thing. She'd push the kickstand down and it would pop up by itself. I took a look at it and noticed the spring was going back to the frame on the BACKSIDE of the kickstand.
I undid the spring, rolled it to the FRONT of the kickstand and it's worked fine perfectly since.
I can take a pic if I didn't describe that very well.
