Yes national no local, was local but the dealer was over an hour away and it just got to be too much of a hassle ridng up to go on rides. Am thinking about joining a closer chapter (1/2 as distant) Met some great folks and enjoyed some rides but most of my ridng is not with HOG.
I have it, but probably won't renew. Have never used the insurance... Bertha's a pretty reliable old gal. Don't belong to a local chapter, and I don't really like group rides because of the structure and hassle of riding in big formations and always having to wait for the laggards in the group. Last thing I need is more structure and stress in my leisure time...
I'm more of lone wolf rider, or maybe with one or two friends - but that's about it for groups. I just like to ride wherever the bike takes me, and stop whenever and wherever I like, for as long as I like.
+1 getting a year with the bike. Did a couple of rides with a local group, nice folks and very good riders, also liked the magazine but chucked the renewal in the bin anyway. Have Progressive w/roadside can find riders and trips on the Internet FOC, just don't see what extra the $45 brings.
1. She likes the magazine
2. Hope to do some fly and rides
3. They had a 2 year for the price of one deal going.
After signing up I read that the fly and rides are hit or miss so we'll have to see how it goes for us. If it's something we can't use, we won't reup next time.
There was an article in my local paper yesterday that said there is an outbreak of Wild Hogs around here, so they are going to have to cull them!! Good!
I'm national but did not sign up for local this year, didn't participate last year, long loooong, boring story. Now ride with a wonderful group with no rules except Shut Up and Ride!!
Yes. Like the social aspect of getting together with people you wouldn't normally meet through work etc. Do go on rideouts when I can. The fall behinders can be a pain in the a$$ because they ride at their own speed no matter how many times they are "encouraged" to keep up. Dont understand their mentality....if you want to ride slow buy a bicycle. Other than that happy with the Local Chapter and the dealer discount too.

Yes ... National and local. I am only a national because I enjoy the local. I enjoy the people and like most of the rides. It is something different, and a variety between supervised and unsupervised rides makes me appreciate each more. To each his own ... I find that people I do not want to ride with, do not want to ride with me either. No big deal ... life's too short. Happy trails.
