OK it's time to renew the HOG membership again.
Who is a member and who isn't and why? I'm sure it has been covered before but there maybe some new folks that want to know (or not).
What do you think?
My insurance covers any towing cost for my bike.
Also many states tow for free if you're broken down on a major highway.
Don't really need any more than that.
I am mainly for the mostly Harley advertisement filled magazine. Other than that, I don't need it 'cause I have and would use AAA Plus R/V if my bike broke down.
Life member since '89 of National HOG. I like the national/state rallys. I don't do the local HOG chapters however. .............I hate rules and regulations of ANY kind!
Likewise, doesn't do anything for me either. I like to go, where I want, when I want, with who I want, and stay as long as I want.
no club, lone wolf, but that's me. I think it is a good orginization, and does a lot for charity.
Just received my renewal in the mail. I got a free year when I bought the bike. Chucked the renewal in the shredder. I haven't used it even once. Although I do wear the pin, but now that I have it I don't need another one.
Not into group rides with strangers. I like to plan my own agenda.

Yes ... National and local. I am only a national because I enjoy the local. I enjoy the people and like most of the rides. It is something different, and a variety between supervised and unsupervised rides makes me appreciate each more. To each his own ... I find that people I do not want to ride with, do not want to ride with me either. No big deal ... life's too short. Happy trails.
The dealer gave me a one year subscription when I bought my bike and I plan to join the local. I doubt that I will renew my national after the 1st year. Just can't see any great benefit in belonging.
