The Jetboil is the way to go as far as a stove.

Not bitching at all!Listening and reading all this is giving me the itch also. Most of all my trips have been in hotels. Would be nice to do a few camping trips and enjoy a nice camp fire.

I think mine is Coleman also. It's a 2-person tent. I really like it. I carry an inflatable matress with a small battery operated pump. I purchased a nice canvas bag (about 34" wide that I can put the tent, matress, pump and two sleeping bags into. I put this on my luggage rack and use my tour pak/saddle bags for clothes, tools and other stuff.

Sorry, don't have a picture of the tent. But it goes up in the dark very easily.

Works very well!

I am already itching for my Sturgis Rally Trip this year!!!

Tent camping all the way!!!

An idea I had is to use the Tetragon tent while traveling to and back from the event, and use the big H-D Orange and Black tent I bought on sale at a Harley dealer while at the rally.

This tent has the extension out from the tent that supposedly allows you to house your bike inside it!!!

Description

It is to heavy to haul on the bike, but the campground allows you to ship items to them and will hold them for you till your arrival. I will then ship the big tent home using the many UPS Drop Off Depots at the rally.

Can't Wait!!!!!

Default Tent Camping

All this talk about tent camping has me all fired up also. I travel for a living and stay in hotels all the time. When I ride there is no way I am staying in a motel. I have a five person tent that is 6' tall so I can stand up inside. I carry my air matress and a sleeping bag. Like Lizdc said, you can't beat the fresh air of sleeping in a tent.

I am already counting down the days to Sturgis and camping at Glencoe.
