Thanks HG5571 you know the only sad thing about this whole deal is that because we chose to fight it, it took almost 18 months to get to this point. I feel for the riders that day that just paid the fine and accepted the 3 points. I have no idea if they will receive their money back....doubtful
Great News! Now all this talk about decibels....I have to go outside and test my bike and see what the level is. Yeah I have a meter. BTW most laws forget to mention which scale they use to test sound levels, a,c, whatever and they are very different. Another way to challenge the law.
My RC joined the COC last month and I'm joining ABATE very soon!!! The COC has already helped out 2 memebers with some BS fines they got.

Sadly a few years ago I would have been one of those other riders. I've learned now to question everything and fight like hell if you think your right. Congrats to you. I think you not only helped yourself, but some other rides as well!!

Thanks again HG 5571 you know I have to agree that initially I was going to pay this fine and accept that my pipes were too loud tested 101 db on the street. My husband though has been steaming about this for 18 months. he tested 99 db. He convinced me with his aggressive pursuit of the laws and regs and rights we all have that it should be fought
When he contacted BCCOM they agreed with him and sent their lawyer in. You know the results

I joined ABATE last year after they sent a lawyer to 2 of my hearings for my loud pipes ticket. The last hearing the lawyer was able to get me out of the ticket on a technicallity which was right to a speedy trial. they post poned my trial once and it went over the 180 days that theymust bring you to court limit.
I forgot to say congratulations. No one should take that crap. You stood up (with help) and won! YAY!I know it wasn't easy. It never is. My hat is off to you
