Manage a street habit with a dirt habit? I haven't owned a dirt bike or atv in a couple of years now. But, I am thinking about double dipping again. Do you tend to favor one or the other, or do you rock both as much as possible?

When I sold all my Bikes 15 years ago I was still racing Motorcross at the Time. Funny now I have no desire to ever hit the Dirt again. Maybe it's being 45 and then at 30 the kids were doing Doubles over my head .

I got both (3-dirt bikes and my FXD). The dirt bikes I use when trail riding with my kids. My FXD, just cruising around. I enjoy both.

Relax, ride safely, and enjoy God's creations.

Did both until my knees protested too much. Used to do 500 to 1500 miles baja rides and I was good till about four or five years ago. My knees would hurt towards the end of the long runs but got to where they'd be hurting after a day. Now I stay on the street. I really miss those runs down the beaches and out in the back country of baja. We could go from snow to desert and be drinking margueritas on the beach in the evening. Get up the next morning and do it again.

Got a couple of dirt bikes, well Dual Sports, a KTM950 and a Husky TE450. for motorcycling enjoyment of the outdoors my Harley has no way of reaching.

They are the reason I need to trailer when I'm not doing a motorcycle X-country.

I really only did off road dirt riding at first. Hare Scrambles and riding along the power lines that crossed neighboring States and following deer trails and stuff like that. I thought that street riding was too dangerous. I survived a hit and run accident while on my 1971 Suzuki TS250 Savage and after all the surgeries were over I was told that I could not ride dirt anymore as it was too rough a ride. I asked about riding on the street and I was told that it was OK to do, so now I focus my efforts on riding on the road. After all the years that have passed since that accident, I still miss riding in the dirt.

In addition to my EGC...
I have a Yamaha Grizzly ATV named BART short for "Bad A$$ Recreational Toy" and named after the late great Bart the Hollywood Grizzley deceased. Have property in the Adirondacks and there hundreds of miles of trails and logging roads. there you can license them and travel secondary roads.
