I have a 2008 Fatboy and am going to be installing a HD freight train nacelle on it. I wanted to use different risers and don't think I'm going to be using the cap piece for the top of this.
I was just wondering if anyone had any pictures of what it looks like from the top where the cap would be. Just interested in how its going to look as I heard some say it looks better without it, but was just curious how it looks.
See, now I have read other threads that it actually looks better without the cap because the cap looks like one big slap of chome with no design to it. I guess I am just going to have to try a couple things and see how it looks for myself.

Thanks anyways.
picture a jar with a lid off. its gonna look like the lids missing. if the cover looks too boring to you, then stick a 3d emblem on there or something....
i would take a pic for you, but i would have to take my fairing off to get the cover off and thats just too much hassle. sorry dude.
Installed most of Nacelle on 07 Fatboy last night; very disappointed in cap - POS. They cut out a square notch in the cap to allow space between and the round lap-joint of the two pieces of the nacelle. Up close, it really looks tacky! If not for that, would look very finished. Other issue is I just bought a 14" Windvest - very hot, but the cap is about 5/8" too wide for mounting - big bummer. Cheers, Kevin.
