Default Riser cap question?

I am looking to install the HD risers part # 56269-09 on my 05 Fatboy. Is there any way that I can reuse the single riser cap that is on the stock risers? I would prefer to not use the 2 riser caps that come with the set purely from a looks point of view. Anyone done something similiar? Is there another part that can be used.

Link to the risers where you can see the double caps

You are better off with the single cap. It lends a lot of rigidity to the whole handlebars/riser assembly.

You probably can re-use the same cap.

The existing cap is screwed in from above but the new unit is from below. Anyone used the existing cap?

do you have the risers in hand now? are the risers (not the caps) threaded for a cap? As long as they are you should be able to use the single one you have. If they aren't, You'd have to figure something else out.

The risers are not threaded the caps are. That is the opposite of the stock and the reason I am looking for a new single cap.

That's gonna be a problem Sorry I didn't pay enough attention to the pics in the link.

I think you are on the right track with the on piece cap, I tried th two piece caps and it really made the bars seem loose to me.
