We call this D.A.M. Snow in the south.
Me and the wife just got home from the movies and I'm glad we didn't ride the bikes. It was clear roads when we went in, and when we came out of the movies it was about 2 inches of snow on the roads.
So we call this here in the south a Doggone, Aggravating, Mess. Short for D-A-M snow.

I know this weather is wreaking havock down South. I actually am sorry for you peoples because the majority of you haven't experienced anything like this and don't know how to deal with it. We're used to it and know what to do. My question is, Would someone pay my expenses to have me come down and give lessons in snow-removal, etc.? I have 30 years experience in that field.
I'm retired and if you are serious about having me do that, I would gladly do it.

Two inches? That's not even worth writing a thread about.At the end of my street,the snow is piled up to about 8 feet on both sides.Makes trying to pull out on the main road very dangerous.You have to inch your nose out and pray someone doesn't take it off before you can see traffic coming.

Here in South Central PA, we got 15+ and within a few days we got 15+ on top of that. What's really bad is our DOT puts smal stones in with the Salt. When the weather does get good again, there's all this loose gravel in the center and at intersections. If you don't go down there's always the chance of chipping up your paint.
