Dragonfly Fairing
I have a 2006 Road King with cruise.
How difficult is the install of the handlebar switches and controls?
I contacted Dragonfly and their response was to “have your H-D dealer do it”.
Not really what I want to do and it kind of put me off on Dragonfly but I may have just got a bad response from them.
Thanks
It's not really hard, it can just be a real pain. I have Wild 1 Chubby bars. All my wiring had to be extended when I first put them on. Now that I'm adding stuff the wiring will have to be extended again. If you don't have to worry about this then I think it's pretty straight forward. Basically you have to take a part the controls, pop a plastic cap out, put in the switch button it back up. Then you have to connect to the wiring harness connectors in the headlamp space.
I'm going to have my dealer do everything because I just don't want to do it myself.

Fairing is at the painter now. Hope to get it back over the next week.
As far as the hand controls, I'm adding cruise at the same time. So I installed them into the new cruise controls myself. The left side was a piece of cake, the right was a pain.
After I get the fairing back from the painter I'll drop my bike of at the stealer to have the cruise installed with the audio hand controls.
Once I get it all done I'll post on how it turned out.
