Default UGLY P.O.S everything back on the bike. PICS

The oil pressure gauge needs to be hooked up. the rest of the bike needs a good cleaning. I need to get the polish off that I forgot last week....clean up the wheels after I get a new front tire next week. The bike cranks! I was ripping thru first and second today waking up the neighbor hood. This was the first sucessful ride I have had on the thing without a major electrical issue since i bought it. I gotta bolt the seat down, and a few odds and ends.

I decided right from the start to get jury rigged wiring fixed up, and get the thing presentable looking as cheap as I could. After buying the bike, there wasnt much cash left to put into "real paint" So everything U see is Duplicolor auto spray paint with a few coats of clear. This way if I change my mind about the paint scheme I am not sanding a couple grand off the bike next year. It is not a show bike. I just wanna ride it.

I need a set of mufflers soon too. There is rusty areas that wont clean off. They are also a little loud. I wanna hear my new radio. Maybe I will just add an amp and some rear speakers first?

I replaced the bag hardware with new. Used some round key locks I had laying around, the tank lid lock was fubared, so I made an adapter on the lathe from 6061 alum. to space the lock so it would work.

With the rear bumper removed I need to bolt the chrome fender down bars to the fender to bring the bags in where they belong.

I have a new derby cover from kuryakin to install. Figure I will wait until spring when I have to change the fluids.

I had to replace the front fender, and fairing. Still waiting to do the tour pak. Gives me something to do later.

Looks ok for having maybe $4700 total with bike cost into it.

here is a couple closer pics of how bad things were.
Those white spots in the pain are chips or flaked off paint right down to the fiberglass. The bags and right side cover were really BAD.
