I'm hoping to get a little "weather-related" help here --
Right now, I've got some vacation planned March 11-15. The plan is to drive up to York, PA and tour the Harley-Davidson plant and nose around a few of the local dealers. I see other plants also offer factory tours, so I thought I might hit a couple of those too.
My question -- how's the weather (snow, etc.) in that area of PA? I keep hearing about all the heavy snow from Philadelphia and east to the coast - I just can't tell how far west of Philly the real nasty stuff goes.
Although I live in North Carolina, I grew up in Ohio, so I'm used to snow. However, if the snow is too thick in the York area of PA, I'll just delay the trip until later in the year.
Any help from folks in the general area would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jack
Not from around there but I know York is not far from Philly so I would say the snow is pretty close to what Philly has. You do know they have a bike bike rally there every year in the summer? good luck on whatever your decision is.
Light snow in Pa. right now. Supposed to be around 50 degrees next weekend.

I hope so! The weather is weird right now, one minute it's in the mid 40's and the next were getting 10"s of snow! I would try to put it off a little while if I was you. Their calling for another storm Tuesday into Wednesday, but no clue on the amount of snow to expect.
They are calling for more snow this coming week. I'd delay it to be safe. You'll be covered in road salt, and possible ice on the roads from the freeze/thaw.
It'll be a month at least before the roads around here are fit to ride. There's salt and gravel every where. not to mention all of the huge potholes opening up like craters, from the freeze and thaw cycles.
