I road up to Daytona and had no issue with having a vertical plate. Road up 27 to 19 to 92. Back I took I4 to 436 to 49 ( toll ). I didn't even see a cop, but on main st.
Daytona is my stompin' grounds. Yes, the Police ARE pulling you over for Vertical Tags and especially Loud Pipes.
It's not so much the Police pushing this agenda, but the Government-heads. Cops get their barking orders from City/County Leaders.
So be on the lookout.
See you at Daytona.
THIS INFORMATION IS INCOMPLETE..
Law for vertical plates is NO longer active...
BUT police will ticket loud pipes if rider is a nuisance.
If your bike is registered in a state were a vertical mount is legal, and you go in a state were it is illegal can they still get you?
Most state's motor vehicle statutes as they pertain to equipment, are prefaced with the sentence "anyone who operates a motor vehicle registered in the state". I'm not familiar with Fla law but I know in DE they can't ticket for that type of violation.
