Just dropped off my new Orange/Black 09 FXDL to have Big sucker air cleaner, vance and hines fuel pak and black vance and hines side shots installed. I hope that I like and enjoy the set-up. I am curious to see how loud these side shots are. The sound should bounce off of the pavement since they are slanted at angle toward the ground. Hopefully I won't have any problems with the apt complex. The stock exhaust actually ddn't sound too bad to me.
I will let everyone know how this works.
I am excited because 1995 Softail Custom that I bought new while serving in Az was stolen in Oct 09 so this is kinda a new beginning for me.
it is probably going to be WAY louder, but you should be able to gently ride her out of the complex without pissing anyone off. performance will be through the roof compared to stock. enjoy!
Don't know about the side shots but, I just put a set of big shot staggered on my 09 low rider. I started it up in the garage with the door shut and I won't do that again. Those suckers are loud ! You should be able to motor away quietly in the mornings since the bike doesn't need to sit and idle to warm up. I just head down the block at a tad above idle and I don't think I'm really disturbing anyone. By the time I hit the main road a few blocks away the motor is warmed up and ready to go.
Thanx for all of the support guys. I should be picking the bike up in a few hours. It has costs me enough money so I had better like those side shots. I did hear them a few times, not many people buy them. I live in San Antonio and most people have the short shots which are cool too, but I wanted something a little different. They should sound similar. The side shots just seem to just be bent into a different shape.

Engraved Rebellion: Inside Bundnerbike's Glam Rock II
Well I have to say that I am very satisfied with my bike!! Very good response and power. Since there isn't too much info on the V&H Sideshots, here is my opinion(I have the black ones): Very cool looking design, especially when put on a Dyna Lowrider!! They are PLENTY loud so if you want something quite I wouldn't go with the side shots, though they do sound very good to me. They have a nice throaty and mean bark to them in my opinion. They bark even when I crept through the apt complex this evening. I couldn't imagine running them without baffles!!
I will post pictures soon. Thanx to all that responded!
