I am among the minority in that I still have a stock bike. I am interested in getting some vance and hines pipes. My question is, what would happen if I installed vance and hines pipes without any other mods?
You would have a better sounding bike. As long as you don't go with a high flow air box you shouldn't have to do anything else. Don't expect any kind of a performance boost though.
Do the slip ons. If you don't like them, you can easily change back. Listen to other bikes and find the sound you like. You won't have to make any other changes. You may want to, though.
