Like it has been said, the belt is a good bet. It can sound
like it's coming from every where but there.

When the squeak starts, hit the front brake...see if it immediately goes away. If not, hit the rear brake...see if it goes away. If it goes away then its brake squeal. If not, then at least you have eliminated brake squeal. Brakes will normally not squeal when the pads pushed by the piston in the caliper firmly contact the disc, unless a bigger problem like the pads so worn they are metal to metal.

Well, I checked the windshield tool bag for a mouse and just found a dead one. I also checked the muffler bearings and they looked ok. But did find that the drive belt needed adjusting which is strange seeing the noise seemed to be coming from the front of the bike. But that's what it was. Good call man!

Yep, we only found it after tearing apart my primary, and examining the clutch pack and tensioner, putting it back together, test ride, and still there. Put her back on the lift and noticed the belt was all off to the left. Aligned the rear wheel again, and viola, it was gone! Glad you didn't have to tear it apart to find it!
