yeah-- that's one of the reasons I liked this bike-- they put 5.2 gal Fat Bob tanks on the early (93-96) FLSTN. Nice to have a little extra range and I think the big tank looks great.
So now U settled down.... seems now like U only used 2 gal + in the 103 miles... that ohhhh, around 50MPG,,,,,which is where most Evos are....Even if U rode her hard I thunk U'd get over 40 pretty easy....
well, figured this out. Nothing wrong with the bike, just the rider.
Curiously, there is nothing about this in the owner's manual, but it turns out on older bikes with split tanks (pre-99?) you have to fill the left (low side when on sidestand) side first, then the right. You can just fill the right tank and wait for it to crossover to the left, but it takes a LONG time. So turns out I was only filling a little more than half the capacity of the tanks.
Yea, on my 91 Heritage, I fill the left side then the right side. On my other bikes, I just have one fill hole.

Even with a badly adjusted carb, you should get better than 25. I would test it after this tank and see if maybe you didn't ahve it completely full last time. If it continues get it tuned and maybe get a new breather.
