Much more fun on a crotch rocket where you can be going like 60 mph, shift your weight forward, grab a bunch of throttle and bust the back tire loose as you keep going down the road.
Less than manly to brace the front tire. Grab the brake, twist the gas, let the clutch out with a quick yet controled motion to brake the rear tire...let her rip. Did some burnout photos behind the airport in Oriskany NY...so much smoke the tower thought a plane crashed...they sent help.
yes i know i know the yare bad yada yada blah blah.
but for those of you that take part i nthem how the hell do ya do it ? man i tried and tried and tried to get one going yesterday since i need to replace my tires * upen close inspection i noticed they are starting to show some little cracks and symptoms of dry rot* and i wanted a good reason to pull my rims off and strip them and re-finish them anyhow
i can get the front tire locked up and twist the throttle wide open but the damn thing just pushed the front end around locked tire and all. so i locked my legs on the pavement infront of the pegs to attempt to hold it back and the damn bike pushed me too. i just can not get the damn tire spinning. and there aint no curbs or vehicles to use as a wall so hell man how do you guys do it ?
You ain't trying hard enough! Put the throttle to it and hang on.It's easier to stand over the bike while doing this.Practice by rolling up against an immovable object, front tire against it,learning how to start the burnout. With practice and confidence you can do burnouts a lot of different ways.Years ago we melted so much rubber we used car tires.Keep at it you will figure it out.
