Default F*cking kid sat on my bike

i'm at work tonight, get off at 9.

at about 5 to 9 i usually go outside, start the bike, come back in, put on sweatshirt/jacket and go back out to leave. (bike is only about 10 feet away, can see it thru a floor to ceiling window)

so i'm inside puttin on my sweatshirt bs'ing with my boss and this kid i work with slips outside, and i look over and HE'S SITTING ON MY BIKE.

it's not like he's some 17 year old idiot, we're talking about a 29 year old.

i went out and yelled at him to get the f*ck off my bike. when he did i continued to chew him out and told him if he did it again i was gonna cut him from his chin to his *****. (silence ensued from everyone within earshot)

while i admit that might have been overkill, it seemed to get my point across and f*ck his feelings, i was pissed.

ok, rant off, feel a little better now.

probably overkill since you worked with the guy and know him, especially threatening to cut him.

granted he was totally wrong but most people don't really know the etiquette and he could've thought you two had a better relationship than apparently you do.

threatening to cut someone to me is over the top, i come from a place where that isn't a just a BS threat. if someone threatens to cut you chances are they are going to try and cut you so that would set me off.

i'm sure he didn't mean anything malicious by it. i would seek him out an apologize as soon as i could so your co-workers don't think you're a psycho.

my $0.02

yeah we use the term " gut you liek a fish" here, but i think sayign it loud enough for your other co-workers to notice was bad juju and in my history such outburst are usualy followed by a pinkslip, 2 weeks severence and a visit from the RCMP. not that i have any expierience at all with that sort of thing * whistle whislte* personally you didnt do no wrong in my eyes "kid" shouldnt have been sitting on yer bike and in ym world would count his stars that its all he got was a verbal explination. around here you sit on a mans bike without his ok and you aint got **** it aint gonna be pretty.

You probably could have got by with a "get the f--k off my bike" and "don't EVER do that again" with a look of pure evil. Sometimes a look is all you need. The threat part is usually where you want to draw the line. Next time take a deep breath and go to your happy place. Think of bunnies and baby chicks. If that doesn't work, kill everyone in sight.

toastman........I don't want to get too serious & I wasn't going to ask...but I gotta.

Would you actually cut a human being from his chin to his ***** for sitting on your motorcycle? Ummmmm that would be murder.

.......and if you would never do that (I imagine you wouldn't)....

....then it's just an idle threat.....careful with those bro......some men out there just may do the same to you. There's some crazy F'ers around & ya never know who's who.

Hell, I pretty much stopped flipping off azzhole drivers, fist fights are a thing of the past. They just shoot ya now.

No ill feelings bro, just sayin' ya know?

that's kinda my take on it, empty threats to cut people are NOT a good idea. like i said i grew up in a place where if someone threatened to cut you i would fully expect them to try and cut me. even a decade removed from a place like that i would take someone threatening to cut me as them trying to cut me and react proportionately. empty threats were just not something people did. and if you did threaten to cut someone you could expect them to immediately react to a threat on their life.

maybe it isn't an empty threat i don't know the OP at all, but if it was an empty threat IMO very bad policy to be tossing those around, many people don't stand for being threatened like that.

plus if the other dude knew it was an empty threat you basically lost all credibility
