Last month I went to pick up my bike from getting serviced and there was some problems with bike so I turned around and headed home.....2 miles down the road I stopped at a light looked up in the rearview and see a kid in a truck looking down in his lap coming up fast and rear ended me full speed I jumped out and he was dazed and messing with his phone still! Our government wants to do something to bring down health care cost just disable texting while driving! I fell sick about what happened to these riders it could have been any of us. I pray for them

All the best to you.
Thanks bro. Living day to day is about all one can do I guess.

I do understand what the families and friends left behind are going through as most that have lost love ones do...mine's just a recent one. I keep visioning spouses left behind...some with small children. So much pain...wish you could just take it all away.

The added sadness about this is that it will just go down as a horrible accident and left at that. Charging the driver with jail time wont solve anything other than to pass the buck kind of. What I mean is the "driver distractions" will still be there.

Some states it seems are more concerned with banning smoking in a vehicle than cell phones, texting which are more likely to cause accidents. Heck I've seen some vehicles with TVs mounted on the dash.

Oh heck...sorry for the babling. Haven't made much sense my self or of anything in 3 weeks.

Again my prayers to the families and freinds for their loss.

This is just horrible. This was all over the new last night and even this morning. Nothing was said about what might have been the cause. Has anything come out yet about that?

I've been through there.......that area gets real busy with traffic. You have to really be on your toes, there's lots of lane-changing at speed. Sucks that you have to worry about being rear-ended, but you hear about it and see it more and more every day.

Sorry for all those involved.....best wishes for physical and emotional recovery.

This was a really bad and irresponsible wreck.

Condolences to everyone involved and their families and friends.

Some of the local riders from the forum are going to the accident site tomorrow morning at 10am to drop off flowers in memorial for those killed and show support for the injured.

Bad drivers. I wouldn't go or ride there if I was paid.

Yeah... Because nobody ever gets run over anywhere else....

I've been riding in Phoenix since I was 18, I am 42, and haven't been run over yet.

Don't blame this tragedy on all of the drivers in Phoenix. One jackass did it, not the entire town.

Man, I really hate stupid drivers - especially when they're being stupid in something as big as a garbage truck. Today in KY we had a semi cross the median on I-95 and hit a van head-on, killing "at least 10" they say, so far.

Originally the news was reporting that there were 10 to 15 bikes involved. I think that's where he got his number from.

Distracted Driving needs to be an enhancement to an existing violation sort of like "Hate Crime" enhances whatever crime is committed.

So in this case, three counts of vehicular manslaughter with a "Distracted Driving " enhancement.

Maybe that will get people to start wising up if they actually start charging these people with the proper crime then enhancing the sentences.
