It's raining. I watched & listened to all 3 videos. One thing I noticed and thought was cool, was that we get to see where he is looking (and where he is not looking). Pulling out of the parking lot, he must have looked left & right at least 5 times. In other areas, such as riding past an on ramp, he checked for cars coming down the ramp 2 or 3 times. I just thought it was interesting.

I always look multiple times myself. I'm the last person I trust when I look to see what's coming
Yup, it's raining today, and I'm still a bit tired after yesterday's 400 mile ride...didn't get in until after dark...and the last part was in heavy traffic.

Our ride was pretty short yesterday. Our initial plan was a 200+ mile round trip to an event at Poopy's in Savanna, IL. It was a little on the chilly side yesterday (high was mid 50's) and my wife didn't feel like the long ride home late at night (which by then would be mid 40's). Just as we were deciding on that, one of the local LAMA guys sent me a text about a escort/welcome home for a local Marine, ending at a local bar where there was a fund raiser for Mom's Cookies (an organization that sends care packages to our military people overseas).
As it happened, there was a really good turn out. A lot of people from the local LAMA & ABATE chapters, WWR, and a couple of *********, along with a number of other various riders. Good ride. Good party. Then we headed out for some dinner with the LAMA guys.
Not a whole lot of miles, but it was a whole lot of fun.

I'll take ride quality over quantity any day....sounds like you made the best choice! Thank you for welcoming home the young man...I'm sure he'll never forget it for the rest of his life.
We hit the high 50's yesterday, but the morning was cold, and as you know, even the 50's slowly drains the heat out of you at highway speed if you're in it for hours. I've never liked night riding...the rural areas are full of deer, and it's hard enough for cages to see a motorcycle during the day, let alone at night in city traffic. At least the deer aren't talking or texting on cell phones!

i'll admit when I was young I'd say stupid things like "Who wants to buy a bike that vibrates itself apart and you have to always tighten things!?!" But secretly I wanted one in the worst way, and couldn't swing it. Once I got a bit older, I made no attempt to hide my desire for a Harley. Finaly got one at 45. Have put alot of blood sweat and tears into it (and money) but it's worth it!

Yet.
The wireless carriers have been working on that market, but they're still working on a way to make the phones small enough while having the buttons large enough for hooves.
