Since the worldwide crisis there has been a real boost in development of electric cars. Multiple brands do develop those engines these days, BMW, Toyota, Tesla, etc. etc. etc.
I however never here anything about electical motorbikes. Not that i would like to have 1 atm, but still, i'm curious why this is not a subject to debate as far as i know.
Is it just not possible for bikes? And if it would be so, what would happen to the glorious sound of our beloved HD? Would it be the end of HD?

There are a few small companies publicizing that they are working on them. I think some may even be selling or at least taking orders.
I'd be willing to bet that every major manufacturer (including Harley) is paying attention and probably doing some concept/development work. Work like that would be Top Secret and all information would be closely guarded right now.
There is a west coast motorcycle company, http://www.zeromotorcycles.com/, that makes them now. Might be cool for a in-city commuter. Is this the future? I wont live to see it.
