I am getting the sparks but cant switch on the bike, When I bought it it has been parked for 2 month and had the same problem, they charged the battery at the dealer, but now it has been parked for another week,,, damn its dead again .. how can I charge it again? or I have to take it back to the service?
I read your other post.Sounds like the battery is going bad(wont hold charge)or there is a short thats draining the battery.
Did the dealer test anything?

I'd pick up a battery tender and attach the pig tails to the terminals so that it can be charged and maintained when not riding. Best $30.00 you'll spend.
im going through the same thing right now, my bike is a 97 bad boy, trickle charger shows charged, bike wont start only clicking, so i tried my battery booster that i keep around to use during the winters here, with that th engine turns over but the battery is still not strong enough to start the bike, it has a 99 battery in it, tried push starting it, no luck, I'm going to pick up a new battery tomorrow, either way the bike could use a new battery, I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure its the battery. I always use the battery tender whenever the bike is parked, i never know when i will ride it next and i like the strong spark when you start it after not being on it for a while. Good luck
I will pass by ACE Hardware and get a Battery Tender,
Is it automatically detecting the voltage or I have to assign it or what ?
All you have to do is connect it to your battery, it does the rest automatically. I picked up mine at a sport bike dealer pretty cheap. Don't know what brand or how well they work, but I have heard that walmart has them even cheaper.
I've used and still using a smart battery tender plus from DelTran and after 10 years it's still going strong. Senses voltage, polarity, and is temp compensated. When the proper voltage is reached it goes into a "float " charge. What it won't do is charge a drained battery. Also check your battery connections and all points of connections at the starter and grounds.

how can I remove the battery from the bike ?
the bike 2009 sportster 883
side plate that covers the battery(other side from oil tank) snaps off.. the negative cable is under the down tube from the seat behind the motor.. hard to get to, but once you see it you'll figure out how to disconnect it.. once the negative is disconnect from the frame then remove the hold down bar and disconnect the positve cable.. slide the battery out with the negative cable still attached.. at least thats the waythe '05 sportster works..
