Default Heated gear

I just tried out my Warm&Safe heated jacket liner with the wireless heat controller today. It was 40 degrees this morning so i turned the contoller on full blast. I got a couple of hundred yards from my house and had to stop and turn it 1/2. This heated thing instantly fires up! My bud and I rode all day in 40 to 50 degrees and this liner is fantastic. I don't want to get into what product is the best, all I'm saying is that this really makes a difference and is a quality product. I've got stuck in a couple of 600mile rides in May where my teeth chatered so much, some of them got chipped off. Won't happen again.

Also, I put on the HD heated grips last fall and imho are ok. Not as good as the Heat Demons I had on my 05 flht. In Oct 09 I couldn't find a heat demon to work with the new 09 Ultra wireless throtle set up so I bought the HD. They get hot but the left is hotter than the right but at least they are hot. (Not an install problem, my bud has the same situation) No matter, still way better than not having them.

I would recommend that the heated gear be tried on before buying. Needs to be close to the skin.

I've purchased a lot of stuff for my bikes through the years, but this is one of the best for me.
Just sharing this for those who are thinking about it.

I picked up the HD heated gear (made by Gering), and it is awesome! Very comfortable riding in 27 degree weather this spring. Too warm to use if over 45 degrees though. Love it!

I agree also, I only have heated gloves by gerbings, but they make a huge difference!
And yes they are definitely not for use above 40 degrees!

I keep mine in the saddlebags. There have been days where I left the house in 60+ degree temps and nightfall 100 miles from home it turns to 40 degrees. The heated gear makes it a nice relaxing fun ride home rather than shivering and being miserable. Worth every penny to me.

I have some heated gloves, that is all I have needed riding through out the winter here. 14-15 degrees, granted I am not gonna try to ride in that all day but for whatever trips I need to take I am fine

That is one thing that I am going to invest in this coming winter is Heated Gear. Dont get me wrong, I dress in layers when I am riding in colder weather but anything I can do to keep the body core warm helps.

I love my heated gear but don't get to use it much over the winter since the roads are pretty much covered in salt. Pretty much limited to Spring when the roads are clear.

I have the HD battery operated heated gloves. The price was actually a little lower than what i had found from Gerbing. I love them and don't need to turn them on til temps drop below 40. I wonder if they are made by Gering too?

I have a heated jacket liner and heated gloves...would never go without them again. Living in Canada, in the foothills of the Rocky mountains you can get 30F temps ANY day of the year. The heated gear extends my riding season by at least a couple of months per year.
BTW, Ive had heated grips on several different bikes, never used heated gloves until last year. Can't believe how much better it is to have your whole hand warm instead of just the palms
