Well I already ride with it in my pocket, I just want it mounted so I can charge it and so that I can change something when at stop lights and such. I don't really see the difference from having a radio on a bike
DON'T use the magnet pouch. The magnets screw up the function of the Iphone. I'm speaking from experience with a belt holder with a magnetic closure.
I have a handlebar mount that works awesome! I can use the GPS in the phone with it.

Alright, I'll get serious 'cause you CAN do what YOU want and I'm ok with that. I'm sure there are more out there and probaly cheaper, but I do know a few guys who use the HD one and it appears to be a very good product for what they want. I don't know how I would feel about the safety of the magnets, but who knows. I would also worry about it moving if the wind caught it or you bumped it, seems it might be prone to scratching, but hey, I really don't know, I don't use one personally. I've never heard anyone bitch about theirs, either.
Here ya go... It even says Harley-Davidson on it!!! I don't know for sure but I suspect the iPhone has a hard drive in it. Many have had problems from vibration with hard drive MP3 players breaking from being mounted to Harleys.
This portable music system pouch is designed for motorcycle use. The Neoprene jacket offers hard-core protection for your portable music device, while the built-in magnets hold the pouch securely to the fuel tank. The clear play-through window permits touch-screen control, and the anti-skid interior insert allows the pouch to accommodate players of various sizes. Simply plug in your headphones or connect your in-dash Advanced Audio Radio with an auxiliary cable, and enjoy your music collection. Two access ports are provided for headphone and output cables. Works well with many MP3 and other personal music players, but should not be used with hard-disk memory players. Window measurement: 2.5" W x 4" H.

I have one of these that I use for my iPod touch to listen to music while I ride. It works pretty well but there was one time that I reached my hand back to adjust something, accidentally hit the headphone wire and off the iPod and case went!! The good news is that after flying off the bike at around 60mph and bouncing down the street, the iPod was fine! So I guess the case offers some decent protection as well. Ever since then, I've been careful as to where the headphone wire is!
Pretty sure you could take the tank leather off and a case you find for it and take it to a taylor or bike leather shop and have them sew it on for you.
New Scala headset, you can listen to streaming music from your iphone or any PDA (supports A2DP). Also, you can take calls, listen to gps, radio or another headset. I like mine. I keep my phone in my pocket.
The HD Boom Audio pouch is far to weak to hold to the tank. Pro Armor makes a billet setup that is nice. I just keep mine in my pocket and set my ride playlist to shuffle.
