detail it, Wash by hand/dry/place on jack and wax and detail till you cant stand it no more...actually the jack gets the tires off the ground and makes rims and spokes a breeze..i do like someone posted earlier, i pick out a day when i cant ride to do this and yes, you will find problems before they become a disaster.
I use my at work daily. I ride mine after work for fun. I ride mine on every weekend event ride each week. Can you send someone to wash my bike as I stop in any parking lot before I take off again.
find a decent mobile detailer. have them do the bike while you're at work. OR,
ride to a bikini bike wash. let the chicks clean it while you indulge in an adult beverage.
I was going to try that once a few years back. Parked my bike in the line, went to the stand to get a beer, then watched the girl washing the bikes in front of ours. She looked good, real good, until she dropped her sponge on the ground, picked it right up and proceeded to scrub on the bike again. No shake, no rinse, no nothin'! Just scrubbin' in some grit for the paint and chrome. I finished my beer, pulled the bike out of line and ain't stopped at a bike wash since. Alright, maybe I stopped to watch them wash other bikes, but I'll clean my own.

exactly wat i always think!
i mean, it's not like they're sponge washing me...
Yep, I would rather let someone else take care of the bike than me. I didn't maintain my plane in the Air Force either, but I flew it. I might have watched the maintainers work on it, but I knew enough to stay out of their way. I also developed the "habit" of doing a walk-around on any vehicle I'm about to climb in. I look for leaks, loose/missing hardware, cracked/frayed belts and hoses, fluid levels, lights, brakes, and control checks. Heck I even still do a "brake check" when I first start rolling. Maybe i'm lucky, and it's always better to be lucky than good, but the only things I've ever found on my bike is a loose fairing/windshield bolt, low air in the tires, and a 1/2 qt low on engine oil.
I'm not big on detailing vehicles. They're just tools for getting you from point A to point B, even if it's just one you use for recreation. Doesn't mean I don't want it to be clean and well-maintained, but I'm not going to "detail" my bike myself maybe more than once a year. I'd rather spend my time riding it versus rubbing on it.

then every few weeks on a rainy weekend, spend a sunday morning doing a lengthier clean on your bike in the garage. swirl mark remover, wax, chrome polish, clean the spokes, etc.
no need to get crazy about it, it's not as much work as it seems.
agreed...............
